«I’m really happy, just being here racing the AMA Endurocross is a dream! I had a great start, qualifying did the second, but the first five riders of the previous year have a fixed place so I can not choose a very good place on the start line. At the first lap we were quite on par Tarah Giegger, Rilly Ellinger and me. At the wheels section and a curve of the stones I have anticipated and I have put first. I have done well throughout the race, very concentrated without any complicated step, thinking what I was doing … and I won! It’s my first win in a Enduro race, I only can say thanks to Husqvarna, Miki Keller, the Tremaine family, my family, friends and Sponsors … This victory is yours too. Congratulations!»

Segunda carrera disputada para Sandra Gómez en los Estados Unidos, tras la carrera de la semana pasada en Denver donde Sandra consiguió un tercer puesto. Esta vez la cita tenía lugar en Salt Lake City, en el estado de Utha.

«Estoy realmente feliz, ¡ya solo estar aquí corriendo el AMA Endurocross es un sueño! No tuve una gran salida, el la clasificatoria hice segunda, pero las cinco primeras del año anterior tienen plaza fija por lo que no puedo elegir una plaza muy buena en la parrilla. En la primera vuelta íbamos muy a la par Tarah Giegger, Rilly Ellinger y yo. En un paso de ruedas y una curva de piedras las he adelantado y me he puesto primera. He ido muy bien toda la carrera, muy concentrada sin atascarme en ningún paso complicado, pensando lo que hacía…y ¡he ganado! Es mi primera victoria en una carrera de Enduro, solo puedo dar las gracias a Husqvarna, a Miki Keller, a la familia Tremaine, a mi familia y Sponsors… Esta victoria es de todo el equipo. Felicidades.»
